Force 5G privacy policy

Force 5G is an Android app that shows your current mobile connection and opens Android's built-in Phone info screen, where you can choose a preferred network type such as 5G only or 4G only. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: Force 5G does not collect, send or share any personal data.

What Force 5G uses

Connection status. While Force 5G is on screen, it asks Android which kind of mobile network your phone is using (for example 5G, 4G or 3G), whether it has service, and the name of the network, to show them on the home screen. It needs no permission for this: Force 5G has no phone, location or contacts permissions, and Android leaves out location details such as cell identities for apps like it.

Phone info and settings. Force 5G checks whether your phone has Android's Phone info screen and opens it, or your mobile network settings or dialer, when you tap the matching button. Those are Android's own screens: any change you make there is made by Android, not by Force 5G, and Force 5G can't see it.

Vibration. Short haptic ticks when you move the network slider or a switch succeeds.

What happens to your data

• Force 5G keeps one thing on your device: the network mode you last picked on the slider, in the app's private storage.
• Force 5G has no internet permission, so it is technically unable to send your data anywhere. The developer never receives anything from the app.
• There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
• Force 5G's data is left out of Android's backup and device transfer.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling Force 5G, or clearing its storage in your phone's settings, removes the saved choice from the device.

Children

Force 5G is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
